A&M LSU
If we have an Egg Bowl super along with an A&M LSU super at the same time this board is going to be an absolute disaster next weekend

Additionally. Five of those nine are one win away from Super Regionals. Arkansas, South Carolina, Kentucky and A&M have to win two.

Especially baseball. Star pitcher has a bad game. Other team's pitcher has a career game. Bats go cold. Bats get hot. Anything can happen on any given weekend. Baseball isn't always about the best team it is about which really good team is hot at the right moment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like the most from one conference, ever. IIRC, the SEC got 3 in once.

SEC West got LSU, Bama, Auburn and State in 1997. It was ridiculous how good the West was in baseball in that era. LSU was winning nattys every year but State, Bama and Auburn all had elite programs.
And Florida.
Best game I ever went to was the opening round of the CWS in 1998. MSU beat Florida 14-13. Florida had bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth and their stud hit a ball that may have not landed yet.
Just foul.

That's when the NCAA changed selection criteria. Too many SEC programs for their taste.

Just googled that year. LSU beat the Tide 13-6 to win Bertman's 4th CWS title. Crazy.
