I don't think he gets enough credit in helping us turn around our program. Not talking about stats even tho he was a pretty good corner that went 10th in the draft, but mostly from a recruiting perspective.
Without Gilmore we don't get Holloman (Clemson commit) and Clowney who said if Gilmore went to bama he was going there also. More importantly with him being Mr. South Carolina by staying home he
showed many recruits like Lattimore, Roland, Clowney, Shell, and etc. you could stay home and have success.

It's crazy to think back because at times during his career he was widely criticized.
