Why is our military deploying again?

Got word from an old military pal this morning that ''shite is hitting the fan" and a carrier group is heading out. Don't know where or why. I told him probably just training, but he insisted that they are responding to a serious issue. Thoughts?

That being said, our military deploys and deals with conflicts daily but as to what your referencing...I haven't heard anything.

I heard it was going to the Mediterranean or Afghanistan -- if it's the Med it'll be Ukraine. I don't know why but I've been hearing all kinds of chatter that something huge is going to happen late June or July.

It could also be a MEU going out and acting as the police force out in the Med. I know i went on one while in the Corps and it was really just a booze cruise in essence.

So you guiz think its just to scare Putin a little bit? I don't think using the same tactics we always use to warn our enemies would work on this guy. If he calls our bluff, we may or may not be holding the nuts though.

Carriers don't respond with a MEU do they? I was once in the corps as well, but never spent any time on a boat.
