All those Black Bear players. This could be the year Ole Miss gets to Omaha.

I think Pirtle should have been first team, but I am glad he got recognized for the great season he had.

Also...Florida had 3 on the All Freshman team...scary.

LSU had a true freshmen lead the entire conference in hitting and he doesnt make one team, not even all freshmen. That's laughable.

only legit reason may be he didnt have enough at bats or something to be eligible. but he played in 75% of the games this season.

The two kids above Poche had really good seasons too, and better ERAs. I didnt mind it. With that said i love the way Poche is pitching at this point in the year.

Yep, needless to say UGA isn't underachieving in baseball; we obviously don't have much talent.

well for starters those are sec stats only. which has nothing to do with what i said.

but fraley only average 2.3 ab/game and the requiremnt is 2.5 to eligible for the batting title. so he's not. i wouldnt think that would also keep him off the freshmen team but if you read my post i straight up said that would be the one caveat.

Hell he had better tally numbers than benintendi in half the at bats. More HR and rbi's. Not mention he hit 100 points higher.

1B - Martin being snubbed is a joke and I will take Greiner over any catcher.

Greiner - .328 8 HR 50 RBI 2 E 33 assists
Allen - .352 7 HR 58 RBI 2 E 31 assists
Gushue - .323 6 HR 49 RBI 2 E 45 assists, not all from catcher if memory serves

Martin - .329 75 hits 5 HR 33 RBI .996 fld%
Orvis - .291 58 hits 12 HR 44 RBI .995 fld%
Fisher - .265 58 hits 9 HR 43 RBI .994 fld%

So, the LSU Freshman basically got his stats against the weak OOC and midweek schedule?

no, the exact opposite. he hardly played in the nonconference. He was 9 at bats shy of winning the batting title. Him not playing early in the year cost him that.

also he wouldnt just be leading the league in hitting if he had 9 more at bats. he'd be leading by 30 points.
