The Blair Witch Project scared the piss out of me. I watched that a few hours ago, and holy shite. I might be alone in this, but that movie was terrifying. It did everything horror movies now-a-days try to do, but it did them right. Never has a child's laugh scared me more. I love the woods and camping, but that movie makes me want to never go hiking again. Hell, the damn thing is keeping me awake. I don't even know why. I never react to horror movies like this and it's pissing me off. frick I have to sleep but I can't, I don't know why it has effected me like this, but it's really pissing me off that I can't sleep.

Ugh. That movie and the spate of copycat movies shot with home video cameras pisses me off. I hate movies that make you need Dramamine while watching.

Yes, but although Blair Witch Project seems trite today, when it came out it really was scary shite. But like all good things, beating it into the ground for money was the only logical next step.

Yep. Feel-good movie of the year.

When done with that, check out "The Strangers."

Its probably best viewed on a tv. I remember watching it in a theater and the jittery camera motion making me motion sick.

you have to watch something tame right afterwards, like sports center or Missing in Action.

The writer and director Daniel Myrick was born in the same hospital I was in Sarasota, Fl. He also went to HS with my mom.

i like found footage movies. If done right they can be terrifying. Like Blair Witch and the original Paranormal Activity.

I wish he had. But he was a nerd and she was an athlete (swimming), plus she was into older guys.

After seeing this thread I downloaded it. I have about 25 minutes left in the movie and have yet to see anything that would make a 10 year old scared.
