Any especially good places to camp/kayak in your state?

Looking to venture out to something if the drive is worth it. Been all over TN it feels like, and I'm planning a trip for about 6 people, so I want to branch out. I'd prefer a river so we could bring the kayaks.
TIA

Cossatot is the best rapids in Arkansas but if the water is high you would want to be experienced. The Spring river is always a good float and pretty fun same with the Buffalo.
from our floating thread on the Coss:
eta: As for the camping around Coss, there are very few camp sites and pretty sure there isn't any electrical hookups either but I've only been there once so there might be more sites that I don't know about.
The Spring river there is a ton of campsites, and its a pretty popular spot. It's pretty much just a huge floating party, a lot of drinking.
eta: Pretty good site for anything outdoors in Arkansas
from our floating thread on the Coss:

An 11-mile (18-km) section including Cossatot Falls is designated as the Cossatot River State Park-Natural Area. Cossatot Falls is a series of back-to-back class III-IV+ rapids that drops around 40 feet in 1/8 of a mile. Rapid names are Cossatosser (class II+), Eye Opener, B.M.F. (class III), Washing Machine (class IV+), Whiplash, (class III+), and Shoulderbone (class II), with Deer Camp Rapid (class III), Devil's Hollow Rapid (class III+), and Devil's Hollow Falls (class IV) located downstream of the Falls area.

We've got all kinds of places but, if you really wanna be badass you come kayak the inner coastal from Myrtle Beach to Charleston then Charleston to Hilton Head.

Live in Arkansas, so basically everywhere that's not South Little Rock.

Going to the Buffalo River for the first time this year next weekend. Probably wind up going about five times all summer. Not a lot of bigtime rapids, but great floating, scenery and swimming holes. Clear water.

Colorado is apparently known for it's camping, but I won't have anything to do with it because there are bears out there.

shite, where I live is kayakers heaven.
Good place to camp/kayak for visitors would be Mendenhall Lake, which is glacial. You can see the glacier from the campground, then kayahk around the bergs. Lots of sea kayaking too.

sorry for the late reply, but we like to mess with the rapids.
Float/drinking beer trips are fun, but we like to get after it a little bit. Did Big South Fork a month ago if you're familiar.

i like to mix it up a little too. What's some your favorites in TN?

recently is Big South Fork. It's partially in KY, and not for the faint of heart at times. Especially after a rain.

So are you whitewater kayaking? Like Class 3-5?
If you want hardcore here in Arkansas, you have to hit it after the rains, which means in the spring with drysuits. Here's a video that gives you an idea of some of the fun you can get into:

Here's a longer video that tells you some of the creeks they're one:

If you're just wanting some good Class 2-3 that canoeists and such will also do, then Mulberry, Buffalo or Spring are probably your best bets. Cossatot is good, and it can be challenging.

Probably the Cahaba River in Alabama. It's the longest undammed river in the state.

If you ever make it to Pennsylvania, the West Branch of the Susquahanna River is gorgeous
