McCarron - GOAT at Bama no contest

Murray - Don't know how UGA fans feel about him history wise. I would say GOAT though. Tough as nails and was oh so close to having a chance at raping Notre Dame in the BCSNG.

Mettenburger - NFL size and arm and had a fairly decent year. Don't know how he compared historically in LSU's QB history but definitely a solid QB.

Manziel - ummmmmmmm yeah. GOAT

Connor Shaw - Dudes a boss. My personal favorite SCAR player ever. If I remember correctly, he is in the top 2 or 3 of the winningest QBs ever at SC? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So what would y'all say?

He has the most wins ever as a QB in South Carolina history now after this past season.

Connor Shaw is the winningest South Carolina QB. Also never lost a game in Williams-Brice.

McCarron

Statistically Alabama's greatest ever.

Murray

Statistically Georgia's greatest ever

Mettenburger

Decent, but far from LSU's best ever. I would rank him below Rohan Davey and Matt Mauck. Closer to Herb Tyler.

Manziel

We all saw what he did.

Shaw

Was good. Steve Taneyhill is still my all-time favorite from USC, followed by Phil Petty.

Btw, this is strictly college. No pro success or any garbage like that. Because they obviously can't be compared at the moment.

I think Brodie Croyle would have been an All-American had he played under Saban in this system, especially if he had the 2012 offensive-line. He could have easily duplicated AJs numbers, if not exceeded them. McCarron was fortunate to play at Alabama at a time like this.

Brodie had a hell of an arm too. That 2005 Auburn game scarred him for life....Thank god they lost their bowl game that year to Wisky or Nebraska....that was not a fun game for me....

Mett ranks behind Hodson, Russell, Davey, Flynn, Mauk, Jones, and Tittle. He would be somewhere in the bottom half of the top 10, IMO.

Hockey....all of it. Matt jones was the most creative quarterback the SEC has seen in the past decade. I'm sorry but none of the people here mentioned could do what lanky long legged Matt Jones did for Arkansas. Scrambling around on a wing and a prayer. whoopin texas like they owed him money. None of those 5 were game changers. Most aren't better than the quarterback we got right now.

Rohan Davey will haunt me for ever, in regards to LSU qbs. What he and Josh Reed did to Alabama in 2001 is unforgettable. Similar to Manziel/Evans this past year. It is amazing what a mismatch between a WR/CB will do to a defense.

Matt jones ran for a TD against texas and flipped the ball begin his back into the human mascot's face lol... I always liked how he played, but he was a terrible passer.

Michael Clayton had a huge game too. Was just an all around terrible day for the Alabama secondary.
