We want everyone to do well but who in particular are you most excited to see grow and have a great season?

Pharoh Cooper for me. I want and expect this kid to do big things. Mike Davis too. He's quickly and somewhat silently (doesn't get the attention he deserves) becoming one of my favorite players to have played since I started watching USC football.

Dylan Thompson. He's a good kid, a real good kid who has patiently waited his turn, been there when needed, and never complained.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for him, maybe saying a prayer or two, and hoping he has a super season that will make for good memories for him for the rest of his life.

The offensive line. They don't have the luxury of a mobile QB and really need to be able to give Dylan time. I know that's pretty obvious, but if they don't do their part this season can go to shite fast with the defense having to fill a lot of spots on the line and secondary.

The WR corps on offense and the LB corps on defense. I think there is plenty of talent in those pass catchers, but I think a couple (Roland, Byrd or Cooper most probably and even one of the TEs could get in there as well) are going to have to step up and take the spotlight for us to have a great season. Having a pass first QB is going to give them the opportunity, but getting open and giving him a solid target will go a long way to keeping the offense moving.

The LBs are now a year into the program and played awesome last season when pressed into service. This year they are going to be the heart of that defense. Whether we sink or swim next season will come down to how well we can make up for the deficiencies on the DL and CB positions. And having some leadership step up from this young group of LBs will go a long way to gelling as a unit.
