Found in Dorchester county just above Charleston. Diamondback Rattler. Never seen one even close to this size

The biggest I've ever seen was about half that size. I'd pay a lot of money for the rattler off of that bad boy.

I seen this picture a few years ago, but that's still a big arse snake.

Amazing! That same guy caught that same snake in Texas, last year. Louisiana, I believe, the year before that. Those must be the only cloths he has because he's wearing them in all of his snake killing adventures.

There also is a really good article about the size of the snake. Basically if you take a close picture with a short focal length camera (like a phone) something two feet closer (like the snake), can seem twice as big as something two feet farther (like bubba).
Still a big snake

That pic's as old as the hills... Eastern Diamond back 30 or 40 years, old shame he killed it probably pouring gas down gopher tortoise holes.

I tell you why that's bullshite. That beer on the ground has a coozie from the Charleston Angler.
Here's the logo:
Unless he traveled around the southeast with that coozie, a dead snake, and searched for background that matched SC.

I really don't give a damn. The moral of the story is that the picture has been floating around the internet for several years.

It's an obvious forced perspective photo. It's also a pity that fine specimens such as that aren't captured alive and donated to zoos or just left the hell alone.

Welp, that link should end this thread. Now just grab popcorn and wait for the OP to respond to it.
