I'm itching for a road trip and I'm considering heading up to Oxford (from Mobile) next weekend for the baseball regional. Haven't been to Oxford since college and I figured next weekend would be a good weekend to check it out. What do tickets run and any chance at getting a safe hotel room for under $75? Do you have to be a student to sit on the outfield berm? I can go to the beach or New Orleans every weekend so I'm looking for something different to check out. Give me some suggestions.

I believe tickets are around $15ish for the outfield areas for each day of the regional. (Not 100% sure) You can sit anywhere out there if you come early and bring a chair. Lots of people set up tents for groups of people. Left field is for all fans and right field is the student section. (Older folks welcome of course) And you can stay at the ole miss motel for pretty cheap (kinda run down but you can walk to the square). Prolly other hotels in town for cheap too.

No you don't have to be a student to sit in either of the outfield sections. In fact a bunch of the students probably won't come back for regionals and right field will probably be a good age mix.

Tickets are somewhere around $10-15

No idea about the hotel rooms. You can stay on my couch for the weekend if you pay my water bill.

Do you know if student tickets still work or because it's regionals do we have to buy em?

Better get there early if you're sitting in the outfield, bc a couple of people will have spots saved for groups of 20+ before you even move in line.

Hell I don't know. The last time we hosted I had just graduated high school. I have a feeling we're gonna have to pay

Reminds me of my trip to Oxford in college. Slept on couches all weekend. One of the best weekends ever.

Hopefully you guys get fortunate and somehow get a national seed (although unlikely) and host a super regional. I'd head up for a game and then head to Memphis where I have a Bama friend and can stay for free. An Ole Miss super regional game and spending a day at the Saint Jude Classic golf tournament sounds like a neat weekend.

I became friends at Bama with the boyfriend of the Phi Mu who was a best friend and roommate of the Phi Mu I was dating at the time. He was from Jackson and had a lot if Ole Miss friends and the 4 of us drove from Tuscaloosa to Oxford last minute one football weekend. Problem was there was no room at his friends because they all lived in fraternity houses. We ended up leaving at the a## crack of dawn and heading to his girlfriend's house in Clarksdale. That's the one and only time I've stayed in the Delta.

My brother has lived in the New Orleans area for the last 10 years and we go to the Zurich Classic every year which is also a really fun tournament to attend. My brother's next door neighbor who happens to be an Ole Miss grad works at TPC Louisiana part time to get the employee discount and works the tournament each year. Not only do the 3 of us get in the tournament free through him but we get to play TPC Louisiana (normally about $100 a round) for about $40.

Have to buy them. During regionals, the ncaa controls the gate and tickets, not the school

Under $75

That is a pretty low number. Last time I was in tupelo they were just opening a nice holiday inn express (never thought I would say that). Take a look there.

I have heard bad things about the ole miss inn , but it may be in the price range. Also the inn at ole miss is on campus, but I was in the non renovated part and it was not a good experience. In the end stay where is convienent for you since your eyelids are ahut most of your time in a hotel room.
