I don't have anything against cyclists (I ride), but I don't see where he broke any laws.

This guy is a fair representation of Alabama. This is how I imagine everyone sounds in Alabama.

him being arrested is absolute bull crap. while he's an idiot in general and even more of an idiot for posting this to youtube, no laws were broken and his videos should actually liberate him in the court of law as even though he had poor words towards the bikers, his driving showed that he had no ill will and gave them the right of way safely.
and his refusal to cuss makes me laugh because i don't either and a lot of my conversations in the car go the same way.

Rural north Alabama, yes. Southern Alabama has a slightly different accent.
I get his anger at them riding during his commute to work, except there was hardly anyone else on the road. He should come to Birmingham and do my commute where I encounter them on the way home sometimes. He'd lose his mind having to stay behind them for 2 miles before he could safely pass.

Cyclists have the same rights to the road as a car.
Him saying he was going to hit them and "I shoulda put'em in da ditch" is what got him. That is wreckless endangerment and a misdemeanor.
Why is it a big deal that someone chooses to ride their bike to work rather than drive?

i can't count the amount of times i've mentioned that to cyclists and they respond with "well not me. i obey the laws." but then when pressed if they unclip for stops, actually stop, use hand signals, etc. none of them do all the time.
NONE. OF. THEM.
If you want to share the roads, you need to share the laws.

It's not a big deal, but I get the frustration when you come up on a cyclist on your way to work. It's like when you get stuck behind someone in the left lane going 10mph below the speed limit.
Cyclists generally don't bother me on the road, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't sometimes get annoyed with them.

How many drivers use turn signals? All these things you are pissed about cyclist doing, drivers do the same shite. I see it everyday. Accelerating through a yellow, rolling through stop signs, etc.
Have you ever heard of an Idaho stop? One of the reasons cyclists try to keep moving is that it reduces the risk of being run over.

I consider people who don't use their blinkers to be amongst the most dangerous people on the roads. It's nerve wracking trying to predict which way people are going to turn here in Kentucky. Blinkers don't get a lot of use here.

I just find it funny that this guy and some people get so worked up about nothing. In 3 videos, he may have been held up a total of 10 sec.
If you get this angry over someone on a bicycle, you may need to check out some anger managemnet classes.
With all that said, some cyclists, like drivers, are complete assholes. A group may take up whole lane and really impede traffic. Those guys are the ones that give good cyclists a bad name.
The people in the video were being considerate cyclists by staying as far to the left as they can safely ride. This is what I practice and have had minimal issues.
