Have done the Mulberry a few times, was a little bony the last time. Supposed to meet some friends the first of June to do an overnighter on the Buffalo, ending at Rush depends on the water where we start.

fwiw, my favorite river in Arkansas is the Spring River. Best rapids in the midwest.

guys went earlier than we did. my friend and i get on, tump (is that the correct word?) within 50 ft of getting in the water, then proceed to tump 2 more times. it was actually fairly high water especially compared with all my other buffalo trips. i got carried away in a rapid once, lost a flip flop, lost drinks. nearly slammed my head. saw morbidly obese people and little kids floating on by without any issue. sat on the shore for awhile once and contemplated becoming the female version of tom hanks in survivor. when we finally got to the stopping point a helicopter had been called in because someone had dove in and slammed their head. stayed at some little hotel with showers made for midgets. i'm 5'4" and i had to bend to get my hair wet. just all around bad trip.

Dueling banjos? Sexually curious hillbillies?

Damn it in to late.

for one...always make certain to research your accommodations first. never stay at roach motels.

The Mulberry is at 2.6 and falling, it is "OK" at this level, not as much paddling/dragging as when its at 2.0, not as many "Holy frick, are we going to make it alive" moments as when its 4.5 or above

Went down it once at 4.8, a 4 hour float took like 30 minutes and years off my life.
