Has anyone been to one of his public speaking sessions? He is speaking today at my base, and I am pretty stoked to go see him speak. Anyone able to share an experience or vouch for how good he is at what he does (which I can only imagine he is fantastic)?

He's been pretty good at whatever he's done in life, so I imagine you will come away impressed. That's pretty cool.

Man he drove all the way out in the middle of no where to see a bunch of chair force guys? That's something right there.

The man is a winner at whatever endeavor he chooses. I'm sure it will be great.

It would be interesting to hear him speak. I dont think Id go out of my way to hear him, but if you have free time and opportunity, why not

Yeah, he was a decent player.

I would assume since he doesn't seem to have failed at much of anything ever, that he is a good speaker. Also, it should be awesome to meet someone who, by my estimation, is the second greatest human athlete to ever walk the face of the Earth (behind only Bo Jackson, and that is assuming they are both human ).

It'll have to wait, but I got a selfie with him. He didn't like the lighting, so we made a few pirouettes until he was satisfied. A good decision, based on his MMA background.

I will post after I get home from work and can host it.

He is a fantastic human being. Really was eye-opening hearing some of the things he said and did. One of the coolest experiences I have ever had, and that is not a lie!

I was talking when I took it because I was so excited to even be around him. I look stupid in the pic, but it was worth it.

I'd be eager to hear him discuss UGA's latest national championship...

His big win on Rachel and Guy's Celebrity Cookoff on the Food Network.

He did make mention of the fact that during his playing time at UGA, he only lost one regular season game.

Made some jokes about Heisman finishes too. Said his Freshman year, he got beat out by a guy (can't remember his name). Herschel says "I was better than him, though." Then his sophomore year, Tony Dorsett won it. Herschel says "Y'all know I look better than Tony!"

Finally, he gets to the year he won it, and he says "I felt bad about winning it because I felt like I didn't deserve it over Elway, Marino, and guys like that. Erik Dickerson actually tweeted me not too long back saying that he thought he should have won it, so I tweeted him back 'Well, we can fight about it"!"

The guy is a hoot, and it was surprising hearing some of the more serious things he said.

Who cares if he is a good public speaker? He is GOAT at his position. Definitely worth your time.

Erick Dickerson checks under his bed nightly to make sure Herschel isn't there.

Nah, George Rogers was a beast. Rogers had more yards and a better ypc (and on a worse team) than Herschel that year.

If GR had been on that UGA team instead of Herschel, they'd have still won the MNC that year.

I hope he didn't say Tony. Herschel's sophomore year, Marcus Allen won it. Tony Dorsett's Heisman Campaign was his senior year at Pitt in 1976.
