I'd like to hear the rant's opinion or breakdown of all the things going on in this situation.

I've got no sound at work. What's his story?

Met and fell in love at college.

Guy got a very serious head injury. Can't talk much and appears to have significant physical limits (hard time walking, doesn't look like he can use his hands much).

She married him anyhow.

That is an amazing woman.

That's a special kind of selflessness I could never achieve. Need sex too much.

Wow.

Also, it takes a lot of time and money to deal with someone in his condition...I wonder if his or her family has money to support them. ;)

I'm sure there's money for that coming from somewhere, but the house and furnishings in the video appear to be very modest.

Does he still understand everything?

From the video, it appears that he does.

I have a family member in a similar condition. Head injury from a car accident. Medicare and disability covers 99% of his care and expenses.

That and depending on the circumstances around the accident there may be a lofty workman's comp claim.

So touching. I've seen many group homes filled with severely brain injured people who were essentially abandoned by their relatives.

It takes a deeply committed person to stick with the very slow recovery of a brain injured loved one, with no guarantee at all that higher functioning will be achieved. That young woman is solely responsible for the improvements in her husband's life.

He's young enough to expect more improvement, too. The brain is incredible in its ability to reroute functions around injured areas. I wish them the very best of futures.
