The thief didn't require a stitch, why would the DA press charges? Guy catches thief, guy punishes thief, guy retrieves property, guy arrested.

Well I applaud Mr Dorough. If had been me the guy wouldn't have walked away. The judicial system in the US sucks. Hopefully the DA catches so much flack over this the charges will drop.
