I stopped reading because an article talking about the national title included Baylor. Where it ranks them relative to others matters now at that point.

You would have been really shocked if you kept reading. That same article also listed Texas A&M!
As unlikely as it is for Baylor to sniff the national championship, they will finish ranked higher than Texas A&M, so the inclusion of A&M is even more laughable don't you think?
