If the selection were today I'd agree. I think other than UF, the current Hosts need to win at least one in the SECT to remove any doubt, particularly Vanderbilt, if they crapped out against UT, they might lose their seat.

Right now, I'd say national seeds are Florida and Ole Miss

Things could change though.

I would guess he's saying that it would suck to be in that regional with a 3 seed that is of the quality of A&M.

I think Kentucky would probably be a strong No. 3 seed without some work in Hoover. I'd put my money on LSU, State or Arkansas as a No. 2 considering they'd be playing the likes of ULL, Washington, Cal Poly or someone like that. All three are dangerously strong No. 2's.

LSU, State, and Arkansas all have the pitching to win most regionals in my opinion. The only problem is that they do lack offense although LSU has gotten hot lately.

Ole miss doesn't get a national seed over USC.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this offense recently. It's been against NWST and Auburn but 56 runs in 4 games is good no matter who it's against.

I dont have any confidence in our 3rd game pitching though. We have done ring around the rosy there all season.

If Tennessee can win the opening RD, they will have a shot.

Kendall Rogers of PG said basically said TN needs 1-2 wins in Hoover to make it. Cited some good OOC wins as helping them.

A 12-18 conference record with 45 RPI isn't going to cut it. You better hope you win the whole thing.

Right now I would give the nod to USC, but if they don't win any tourny games and Ole Miss wins 2 then I think Ole Miss gets the nod.

I believe both Vandy and USC have a good bit better rpi than Ole Miss. Ole Miss would probably have to win the tournament and beat one or both of those 2 to leap frog them. JMO....

SC wins a few games in Hoover this week think that'll give us a national seed, right now we're on the bubble for a top 8 spot atm.

Yep,

LSU finished 13-17 and a Top 30 RPI in 2010 and we missed the entire tournament. Tennessee is going nowhere with a 12-18 record and 45 RPI.

I think their SoS is in the Top 5 in the country and they are 3-0 vs UVA and UL. If they got hot and ran the table at Hoover they would get the biggest bounce up. However, the way they have been up and down they could lose the 1st game and be out.
