Grew up in Baton Rouge. Been to many LSU games in my time. Also went to UTk this past year when they played Austin Peay to see Knoxville for the first time. It was awesome.

Many State games. I was at the last game State beat LSU in football and I haven't been back to a State-LSU game since.

My Dad and I used to have Ole Miss season tickets because it was SEC football 45 minutes away.

I went back a few times my senior year of high school to stay with some friends.

I have watched both Mississippi schools a couple times each. My Uncle graduated Summa Cum laude from Mississippi State so when I visit him we will catch a game every now and then. Have another Aunt that graduated Ole Miss that lives in New Albany so when I visit her she always has tickets for me

I've never been to an SEC game involving my team or not.

I 100% blame that on the SEC's desire to keep bowl games in the south. I'd have driven to LA or San Diego to see many SEC teams play a football game, even before Mizzou had anything to do with the SEC.

I seriously think the SEC's thinking that every bowl needs to be in the south hurts the conference. However, in order for the SEC to try to tap in to that market striving for some relevance in other areas I guess the SEC would have to start sucking.

So, I take a sip of my beer to never seeing an SEC game on the west coast.

As much as it sucks for a fan of an SEC team on the west coast.

ETA: upon reading the responses, I realize this is probably a thread for people that attended schools far from their hometowns, but still in the SEC footprint. My apologies.

I went to the Bama/LSU game in Tuscaloosa a couple years ago as an OM fan. It was nice knowing that a huge game was on the line, that I could give 2 shits about who won, and I'd still get to laugh on my way out that night.

Sorry boss, my team was Big 12 when I was going and I've never stepped foot in the south unless I was changing planes.

UGA MSU

Wife was raised a UGA fan. Almost got to see her go after a cow bell ringing cow from State after that game was over.

Several. My best feat is to attend 3 SEC games in one weekend: 2009
USC vs. OM > LSU vs. MSU > ARK vs. BAMA

One time in college, the Rebs were barely beating NW State at halftime of a game that started at noon. The same day LSU was playing Bama in Tusc. My friends and I looked at eachother and said, "let's leave this shitty game and drive to Tuscaloosa." So we piled 8 deep in a Tahoe and got #drunj all the way to Bama.

Others:

UGA vs. Bama - Blackout 2008
UGA vs. UT - 2008
Bama vs. State - 2004
Bama vs. LSU 2012
Vandy vs. LSU 2011
Vandy vs. Florida 2011
Vandy vs. UT 2011
LSU vs. FLA 2013
LSU vs. MSU 2012
LSU vs. USC 2012

Bowls:
Chick Fil A 2012 Clemson vs. LSU
Gator Bowl 2011 Michigan vs. State
Sugar Bowl 2013 Florida vs. Louisville

I live in Nashville, so I have been to several Vandy games. They usually seem to always be against Ole Miss or Florida. It's been a while since I last went though.

It isn't just the SEC office or fans that cause most games to be in the South. The bowl administrators also want SEC teams in their games because that generates so much money for them. For example, when UK refused to go to a third straight Music City bowl in the last decade, that made Nashville very unhappy because it would have meant a guaranteed sellout and millions more tourist dollars. UK football fans travel well. Instead, the Music City bowl had a small crowd.

It is not our desire, the bowl committee is the one blocking that. We have pushed for several bowls including the rose bowl but we never get selected to them. PAC12 and B1G will make sure this don't happen

I know it was State, but you had to have fun watching an SEC team lay the whooping to "Mighty" Michigan.

Went to a few Auburn games when I was a kid with my friends. I wonder sometimes what ever happened to them.

I can understand, but since the SEC has some of the best travelling fanbases in the whole scenario, wouldn't it make sense for some of these bowls to start courting them?

It really doesn't make sense to me that a west coast bowl wouldn't want an SEC team because the fricking Belk Bowl of the Duck Commander Circlejerk Bowl has so much clout. I mean, it's not even like the Belk Bowl has a real tradition.

ETA: It would make more sense to say the Pac12 doesn't want to play the SEC. I'd get that. Maybe it's already been said.

But hell, sending the 7 SEC team to play the #2 MWC team here in Las Vegas wouldn't be a bad deal for either team.
