How is everyone feeling about Auburn sports these days?

I know we aren't where we want to be across the board, but I feel at least we are competing.
I am looking forward to mens basketball and I haven't felt that way in a while. Pearl is quite entertaining and a legit talent at coach.
A lot of work to do in baseball. Is Golloway the answer, or are rumors he is a bad fit true?
Womens sports are a lot more competitive.
I would like to get our edge back in swimming and diving
Football looks stronger than ever and obviously has my most attention. I have a feeling Gus has the ability to keep us in the hunt for as long as he is HC.
Hope our sports programs can continue to trend up.
What say you? I always like to see others opinions. I know others have more insight on other sports.

We are positioning ourselves to compete

He seems to be an a-hole but has a track record of being a winning a-hole

But honestly, who cares? I support keeping them around I just don't care who wins or loses

We were dominant and now we are just good. It sucks

This truly is all that matters to most people anyways

Feel good about football.
Feel good about basketball.
Meh about baseball, but I honestly don't follow it much. Baseball is one of the few sports that I just feel like the pros is heads and shoulders above college.
Women sports.... Like to see them do well but I don't care.
Swimming and Diving... Used to help pick me up for a second or two if we had a shitty football season or something.
So overall for me I'm happy.

Good in Football so I'm happy. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

I can't believe I am saying this but I think this hire may be the best of Jay Jacob's hires. He has successfully taken a team that has never been good and almost lead them to hosting a reigonal and likely will win the regional.
Obviously you do care, so let's not pretend we don't.
eta: So does nino since he was crying in the softball thread as well.

If it starts with the word "women" and is in the AD, I don't care who wins. I think it is right to keep it around though just not interesting to me.
Gymnastics is an exception. I watch that with the GF. Surprisingly fun

I am one of the few that cares about every sport as long as I understand it...Sorry equestrian...on 2nd though they are some of the hottest girls in our athletics so I care I guess. lol. Obviously there is a hierarchy on my caring but I am intensely competitive and want everybody to win.
-mens basketball-So flipping pumped even though I understand it may take a couple years to get really competitive
-Baseball-disappointed and even though I am not crazy about his tactics I'm willing to wait to see if Sunny can reach his own boys since he could not reach a lot of the kids he inherited
-Gymnastics steadily getting better. This was the first year they were consistently in the top 10-12 all year in program history
-women's basketball- We show flashes of decency sometimes but overall I'm underwhelmed w/ Coach Flo. It's inexcusable to lose 2 of the last 4 regular season games to the 2 worst teams in league when an NCAA tourney bid is right there for the taking, 1 of which we were down 42-14 at halftime AT HOME & the other only had 1 conference win all season.
-Women's soccer-steadily getting better
-Volleyball- Don't know much about ours but I like it in the Olympics so I am looking forward to watching it with the increased exposure on the SECN and espn 3.
-Softball-despite today's loss still love the turnaround from last year and am very excited for the future. We have only 3 seniors and none of the really play much
-Swimming and Diving- even though we are not elite anymore we are still Top 10 and I can live with that
-Football-never been this excited for the expectation for the upcoming season. If we keep the eye of the tiger and injury free (knocking on wood as I type) then everybody else will be fricked.

Football - good
Basketball - good
Baseball - disappointed how the season ended after starting off hot. I want our baseball program to be great. Sick of losing.
Swimming - we need to start winning titles again.

I'm about as happy as I've been in a long time. I know we suck in baseball, but I've never cared much for baseball anyway. In the 2 sports I actually care about:
1)Football- nearly unlimited potential. Our coach won a natty here as a coordinator, then in his first year as HC won the SEC and played for it all. Offense is innovative as frick and we currently have bragging rights over the gumps and dawgs. Sky's the limit.
2)Basketball- got a real gem. Not only does pearl have a solid resume and proven track record, the guy is simply a people person. He automatically makes everyone around him want to start rooting for him. We've sucked lately but Pearl is excellent.

Jay Jacobs has turned the corner I just wish he would hire a spokesperson for the AD that sounds impressive. He sounds like Forrest Gump up there sometimes
