I admit Bama claiming 1941 is ridiculous but AU claiming 1993, when they didn't play in a bowl game, is ludicrous.

Were they so sure that they were gonna get to add one after last year that they just had to find another way to do it?

what is real ridiculous is that the NCAA recognizes AU as 1993 champs and they were the ones you put on probation.

Doesn't Bama have a NC claimed where they lost a bowl game?
When did the Bowl Coalition or whatever come into play?

Yes. That was when the title was awarded before the bowl games.

Well the NCAA only recognizes selectors as being more popular and they list those. So not sure why they included that specific lingo
