I always seem to see posts inferring there were rumors about his behavior while at UF. Can you give specifics of some of the types of things he was rumored to be involved with while on campus. BTW,congrats on having the biggest tPOS in Rant history. I doubt anyone will be able to top his antics.

I believe his only arrest at UF resulted from a fight at a restaurant.

Yes, topping a serial killers actions will be tough.

He's a dumbass, if he gets convicted of these murders he better be glad he committed them in shitty states without capital punishment.

Didn't he get questioned about a shooting in or around Gainesville?

EDIT: Just found an article explaining that. I hate this Bianchi dude but here it is anyway.

He must have had some problems, because I have always heard NFL types describe him as a first round talent who fell to the 4th round in the draft because of concerns about his character

Yes.

Along with the Pouncey twins and Reggie Nelson. Hernandez was 17 at the time, so his name wasn't included at the time, but later released.

Just curious, what was the universities reaction to this investigation? Was Hernandez suspended from the team while this investigation went on? What did Meyer do/say in regards to this? Also, I'd think having a guy on your team who was involved &/or investigated for a shooting like this, made for some uncomfortable moments for his teammates.

He didn't get into that much trouble at UF, even though he was known to be a troubled individual. From what I understand he surrounded (or maybe re-surrounded) himself with some very bad people up north.

I dunno man. Sounds like he very well might have put a few bullets into the dome of a dude who crossed him in a bar.

He may have but we don't know many of the facts about that story and I'm not generally one to assume.

AH was always a hair's breadth away from doing something really bad. He also really loved football and really wanted to play in the NFL. Urban & co did a good job of controlling fallout from his incidents, but I don't think he had quite the close tie with the gang activity, etc. while he was in G'ville.

Meyer once said he's either be an all-Pro or end up in prison. Looks like a little of both.

I HATE Urban Cryer... He turned a blind eye to this....

An Example...Jenkins eventually left for North Alabama after Meyer's successor, Will Muschamp, dismissed him from the team following marijuana arrests. Several months later, Jenkins spoke to the Sentinel about his dismissal.

"If Coach Meyer were still coaching, I'd still be playing for the Gators," he was quoted as saying. "Coach Meyer knows what it takes to win."
-----------------------------------------
Another Example
Newton’s father, Cecil, called the allegations a “character assassination attempt.”
“I think there’s a group of people who have a hidden agenda and don’t want to see him as a Heisman nominee, let alone winner,” Cecil Newton said.
University of Florida head coach Urban Meyer is said to have a more than casual friendship with the FoxSports reporter (Thayer Evans) who wrote the single-sourced story, according to collegefootballtalk.com. But Meyer vehemently denied he was the source of the story.
