He named Tennessee his leader not too long ago.

What happened Vols?

Does this look like a commit that will start the dominos this year?

Gibson happened. I would have preferred Gentry though probably.

Gibson named us leader. I always felt we had a chance of losing Gentry to somewhere closer to home. NM to TN is a long way from home for a small town kid.

It might. Most of the big names are already off the board but this might spur someone to offer Quinten Dormady that hasn't already.

Damn, you're right. LSU's not participating in the QB domino chain this year I guess. I highly doubt we're going to get Gibson. I wouldn't mind if we offered the in-state kid from New Iberia.

I wish one of the big time in-state guys from '16 were in the '15 class though. Lot of LA qb talent in '16 for some reason.

gibson is so raw, a team really needs another option at QB (a more polished passer)... it would be risky to make TG the man in your QB class, especially after UT didn't sign a QB last class... and their offense appears to rely heavily on the QBs arm to make plays. Assuming he even plays QB, he'll need a couple years to develop.

will be interesting to see it play out...

Shea Patterson is a stud.

If not landing a QB in 2015 helps Bama with Jacob Eason in next year's class I'm fine with it.

There is Patterson, Jon Randall Belton, Bladrick Veal, and Deuce Wallace that could all end up at BCS conference schools. Though I think Veal and Belton could also play other positions. There may be more LA QBs that I'm missing too, I'll go check some lists.

Personally, from an all-name perspective, I wish we would offer Veal now.

Ohio State has missed on all their QB targets as well....they will come at Gibson with everything they got now, I bet....

Gibson is far from a TN lock. Still hasn't seen tOSU yet, and has them lurking. Urban has a lot more to sell Gibson on than TN.

.....and there's a high chance that LSU will land a Florida QB.

This is true, but OSU also has some young talent, so the depth chart looks a bit more daunting.

JT Barrett was a top DT QB who is going to be a rFR. this year, so that at least gives OSU some options. I still think OSU gets Gibson though; seems to be the type of guy Meyer lands more often than not

I hope UT wins the Gibson battle more than any other recruiting battle this year. I hate OSU so much

im glad. was underwhelmed by his arm for such a big guy. im actually good with just not taking a qb this year. Im pretty confident cornwell is the real deal for the future, and no qb we sign this year is going to affect anything for about 2-3 years anyway. would rather use the scholarship at a position of need
