For LSU it's got to be new o line coach Jeff Grimes. Coach stud was a depreciating asset and it was time for a change. Grimes has the experience and successful background to bring an immediate impact to our front line.

Our new DC Robb Smith, completely different defensive philosophy than Chrish Ash. Ash was a bend but don't break guy when it came to the secondary, Smith is much more aggressive. I can't remember a time when we played bump and run last year, but we were already doing it in spring practice this year.

Robb Smith.

Chris Ash couldn't handle this league.

I actually think Grimes will do well for LSU too. At auburn, I don't think he ever liked the blocking schemes required in malzahn's offense with constant pulling from around the line. Grimes is more of a smash mouth line coach and that is LSU is looking for.
