2011 SEC West:

3 of top 5 in final AP poll, including 2 teams in the BCS Championship

LSU 13-1
Bama 12-1
Ark 11-2

With tOSU forfeiting their tainted win in the Sugar Bowl, this means HALF the division lost ZERO games besides each other. (Even if you could Ohio State's win over Arkansas, it's still amazing).

But the bottom half of the division wasn't terrible, either, with the exception of Ole Miss. Take away the games against these top 3 opponents, and auburn was 8-2, and MS State 7-3.

I seriously doubt we will ever see a more dominant year from one division of one conference. Just incredible.

Arky was not as good as their record indicated.

When did they forfeit that game. The NCAA gave them permission to use the five ineligible players in the bowl game.

Yeah, I thought they gave them the option of starting the suspensions before the bowl or waiting until the next year. They chose to wait because a few of them were leaving early any way.

I opened this expecting something fascinating, or at least interesting.

Holy shite, was I disappointed.

I agree. But they were still a legit team, just clearly not anywhere near Bama or LSU.

As for the aub, the idea that 2010 was better is ridiculous. 2011 LSU and 2011 Bama were better than anyone in the 2010 division. If you go by draft picks, you might have an argument, but football teams are not measured on their talent alone.

That they did, and the lead up to that game brought us one of the best troll threads I've seen. It's fricking legendary. K-Staters sailed on Arkansas bad.

Does playing Arkansas hurt the image of our program on goemaw.com

189 pages of pure gold.

Just wondering what you guys think about playing Arkansas. I don't know anything about them but I think they're considered "small time" as it relates to the college football world.

I am worried that people will associate them when they think about KSU football and I'd hate to hurt our national brand/image. We have the second most recognizable program behind Notre Dame and I don't want to tarnish it.

Is Arkansas like the Texas Tech of the SEC?

Oh great. This will only reaffirm our reputation on scheduling cupcakes. ridiculous.

Arkansas is one of those old SWC teams that we didn't let in the Big12, right?

quote:

I think playing a school that's so outlandishly racist will certainly hurt our crystal clear image of a program. I mean, do black people even have rights there? Or jobs? Mizzou will fit in perfectly with those guys. Getting rid of them was definitely good for us.

...and the gems continue, Arkansas fans enter, engage in massive amounts of butthurt and fun is had by all. Read it. Seriously a great piece of work.

Interesting fact, Penn States loss to Alabama during the 2011 season was Joe Paterno's last recorded loss.

Yeah bitch

I delivered old news, as promised. Sorry to have pulled you away from watching your team's best players crying and kissing their boyfriend as they get drafted.
