Per TMZ: Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix dropped $55k on a watch and bracelet. Auburn's Greg Robinson got a $123k watch
I couldn't imagine spending either amount on a watch, even if I won a 50 million dollar lottery.

Well you also aren't a 20 year old kid who probably grew up poor

123k for a watch?? That thing better be solid gold, covered in diamonds, tell me what time my dealer reups on blow, and have a compass that points me in the direction of the nearest hooker.

I wouldn't spend more than 125k on anything other than real estate. Just unreal.... and... why?

Half of that was paid with his signing bonus from Auburn.

Robinson spending that #2 pick money.

Not really. They tell you when you come into money, blow a couple hundred thousand to scratch that itch. It's a natural emotion.

The other half went to his bailout from prison.

I'm not gonna lie, had I been the #2 pick in the NFL Draft, I probably would have spent about $500,000 that first night on things that I have always wanted but never had the money to purchase.

I've always heard from the smarter NFL guys that you should buy one piece of jewelry, one car, and one house and be done with the "big stuff".
I think it's reasonable if you're bringing in millions of dollars guaranteed without ever playing a down.

Holy hell that is ridiculous. Unreal. I don't see how these kids don't realize they may only have 5 good years in the league. It varies wildly, but say you make $20 million take home after the agents take their cut and the government takes their 30% or whatever.
Lot of these guys have to make that last the next 50-60 years and big ballin for a few years then being broke for 50 years would suck. And rookie contracts blow now. What if a guy doesn't get that big free agent contract after their rookie contract?

I would spend some money too. But that 123K would have gotten me:
A truck
bass boat
4 wheeler
membership to a premium hunting club in S. Alabama
all kinds of new firearms and ammo
