@GoodmanESPN: Chaminade guard Christophe Varidel told ESPN he's headed to Alabama. Averaged 19 points per game last season. Eligible this season for Tide.
@GoodmanESPN: Varidel, who began his career at Florida Gulf Coast, chose Alabama over UCLA. Said he will celebrate decision by going surfing now.

I wouldn't expect that much from him if he were healthy. If his knees allow him to play 15-20 minutes a game, I'll be ecstatic. It's gonna be fun having this guy on the team even if he doesn't play much. He's hilarious...

Justin Coleman and Ricky Tarrant should help in that regard as well

Coleman, Mitchell, Norris, and Varidel are all regarded as good shooters. Tarrant was a career 33% 3 point shooter at Tulane so he should help as well.

It'll be interesting to see how Varidel transitions into Grant's offense. He doesn't seem like a BAMA guard

Hopefully our offense will look much different with actually having shooters and adding Reggie Witherspoon to our coaching staff. I guess it remains to be seen though.
