When you lose to Miss State you do not get ranked. Sorry, but thats the rules

ETA: Neither Mississippi team has earned the right to be ranked yet

I could see that, but i value South Carolina's defense over Oregon's offense.

They had us at 7 on espn. I don't think either are accurate.

If they go 11-2 again without winning the division/conference/huge bowl I swear they're going to do a 30 for 30 on the biggest blue balls ever given to a college football fan base.

11 win seasons three consecutive years and finished last season ranked in the top 5. Yeah, 6th is reasonable

I don't have a serious problem starting out #12 but, no way Ohio Suck, Baylor or UCLA are anywhere near as solid as the Dawgs.

Don't get the love affair with OU. Though most all of their tough games are at home.

Bama ahead of Michigan State and I can objectively agree with that. All those teams above have proven they are better than Alabama after 5.

But the last time Alabam played Michigan State in 2011 the game wasn't even close. It would be no different this season even with a different QB and coordinator.

all 3 have very good returning starters at QB, don't see the big deal here

And they return the majority of their starters on both sides of the ball. Plus they beat a very tough Alabama team, which carries weight in my book

Swap 12 and 18. AM is going to hurt more than what Missouri lost.

This would have zero impact on the game if played this year.

Both teams have elite defenses and Michigan State earned their ranking by winning the Rose Bowl against a very good Stanford team

Michigan State wouldn't come close.

They don't have the depth. They might have the elite first string, but depth they do not.
