Just a little stat for those who discredit Sumlin based on his 2013 defense

Since the start the BCS in 1998, only three BCS conference schools have finished 90th or worse in total defense and won 7 or more games. The 2013 Aggies are the only team in that group to win 9 games and one of only three to win a bowl game. The average number of wins for teams that have met this criteria is 5.2. Nobody in a BCS conference has ever had a winning season with a defense ranked as low or lower than A&M's last year.

Kevin Sumlin did something last year that, statistically, had never happened before as far as I can tell. A&M should have won 4-6 games based on past precedent and Sumlin went 9-4 with three of the four losses coming down to the final seconds. A&M SHOULD have been smoked in the SEC last year week in and week out, and yet they were not.

God help the SEC when all these great defensive recruits grow up.

That's what happens when you're QBU. You have a chance to win every game

Oh, did you find another Manziel, too?

This reminds me of 2011 offseason when auburn fans kept telling us the Frazier was at least as good as Cam and probably better.

Ask them how that turned out.

And God help us if our defense doesn't improve. But I think you're right. With the exception of LSU we were in every game last season with one of the worst defenses I have ever seen.

Why every team just didn't run a wheel route every play against us though. I don't think we ever covered that. Not once.

Did the other two schools have a heisman winning qb? And two other potential first rounders on offense?

You don't expect a player like Manziel. He was decently rated, but not a blue-chip recruit by any means. The top rated QBs won't give you what Manziel gave you. They'll probably be solid, but not even close.

Highly probable.

ETA: Well maybe just probable.

We basically have Peyton 2.0 already on campus and a more polished version of Manziel leaning to us. Aggy stacked, SEC record books fricked

Congrats on winning the baseball series last weekend. You will continue to lose to LSU in football for the foreseeable future, with or without a Heisman-winning QB.

Aggie will need 2 footballs with all the great ones coming. It's a good thing a high rated recruit has never been a bust.

Yeah he wanted to follow in JFFs steps so badly but we can only have so many top rated QBs. Dude melted kinda hard after Allen committed though
