I'm spending Thursday night in Memphis and playing somewhere Friday morning probably before heading up to the Spring River with my family.

Anyone have any suggestions for nice public courses? Nothing over the top, but I could pay about $60 for a round.

These are the choices on GolfNow. Any good courses? I'm not limited by this list, just didn't know if any of these were good and I could get a deal on them.

If I play well at MSU this week, I'll probably play Mirimichi.

Glenn Eagle in Millington. It's on the Navy Base and is really nice and very tough.

How far is that from Germantown? I'm gonna spend the night at my grandmothers and don't want too long of a drive.

30ish minutes. It's worth it though.

I've never played any of those.

I live across from Galloway. It's real nice for a public course.

I asked my cousin who's from Germantown and his first suggestion was Galloway.

Galloway is good for a municipal course and great for a confidence boost.

Not a bad course to hit up then. I'm gonna spend my day Thursday researching.

Hoping to play today, tomorrow, and Thursday before my Memphis round, so I'll have an idea if I need an easier course or can try for something more challenging.

Galloway and Glen Eagle are opposite ends of the spectrum.

Cherokee Valley is a nice track that's somewhere in the middle in terms of difficulty.

Glen Eagle is tough?

I was looking at both CV and Plantation in Olive Branch.

Cherokee is easy, usually in decent shape, and pretty fun

Glen Eagle has some of the toughest greens I've ever played on.

I went with Cherokee Valley.

Cherokee Valley tomorrow. Cherokee Village (AR) Saturday.
