I hope they pay back Arkansas for sniping Anthony Swain last year.

Not sure how this would really assist a football player in preparing for a season. Most intense special forces training would focus on physical efforts and mental stamina over longer peroids of time than would be required in a football game. Maybe they can pick up some fun ideas to put in their workouts upon return. Just my opinion though.

That's cool but San Diego is pretty far. I know of seals training facilities in southern Mississippi & the Florida panhandle.

no one can say our guys are complacent, maybe being 13 seconds short can be good for us in the long run..i`ve read that seal training is borderline sadistic

Maybe this is about mental toughness and endurance? What ever it takes to be holding Crystal at the end of the season I'm all for

Where is a training facility in the panhandle? I think they do all of their training on the west coast. Rangers do some training at Eglin Air Force base, but that is the only special forces training that I know of in the panhandle. There are some SEAL's stationed at the Naval Lab in PC Beach, but there is no training done there.

I know people who have gone and done this train with seals type thing. It is more about being mentally tough and breaking through mental limitations to get to your physical potential. I think it would be good for a lot of the guys

Yeah, I think this is more about unity building. There is no way they put the athletes through the ish that the SEAL's go through. I am sure the athletes are pushed hard enough to realize they can accomplish things they didn't know they could achieve. I like the idea of it. I wish more than nine players went.

If anybody knows about team building, it's the SEALs.

Those are all advanced SEAL facilities, much of it probably classified.

Their is only one BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition School) and that's in San Diego.

I'm sure our coaches and players would have found advanced insertion techniques and advanced counter-insurgency fascinating with the proper clearance but, for their purposes, basic training was probably the best way to go.

Are they still in San Diego? Or was this earlier in the year?
