*Official, I watched it and I am over it May 1st thread *

I warned you guys this one coming. If you don't want to hear about the FSU game, quietly pull the cord and exit the bus..

Got in from my trip at lunch, had a drink and watched the game finally. Overall, it did not hurt as much as I thought. It really drove home how damn close we we're but in turn, gave me even more confidence that we will be very good this year.

Since I was at the Rose Bowl and have not redacted the game or any of the coverage of the game, I did learn some things. My view is probably very similar to what you guys saw and have talked about but here they are.

The crowd showed up for both teams. We were loud. Very loud. The FSU fans were loud late but that was a easy time to get up.

Ben Bradley was a beast in this game. I saw him out of position a few times but he was a man child inside

Kris Frost was very up and down. He made some unreal plays then would turn around be totally out of position. Kid is very athletic and can be a beast this year if he gets his head straight

The fake punt in the second quarter by Jimbo was a great call and was executed perfectly. We should have known it was coming but even if we did, picking up a few yards was pretty easy with that play.

The two misses killed up. The game should have been 31-10 at half. No much else to say about that. Its pretty much fact.

Winston was totally shocked in the first half but I got to give the crabby credit. He stayed in there in the second half and made some good throws. Like him or not, he played way over his head

Mason Heisman pose was dumb

The PI call on Davis with 15 seconds left in the game was meh.. I would have had a hard time throwing that flag in that situation. The ball was not catchable.

I won't hold Davis accountable for the last TD to Benjamin. That was a perfect route and a perfect pass by the kid. No way Davis could have defended it.


I still don't know how we lost that game even though they made some plays. We did not execute on big plays and they did. The pass to Louis was just pathetic. Bad pass but still should have been caught. Parkey missing the FG was crap too.

I really felt like watching this game would be worse. But the timing was right. i feel very good about this year. Marshall can be better than we have had in a long time. He has everything he needs right now. If he can stay healthy, we can dominate on offense. The additions we have added with the support that is left could be very good.

As I promised, after this thread, Im over it.
