He is now coaching at St. James in Montgomery. Good for him.

I don't know if he tried again this year but I know he gave up awhile ago. Talked to him last fall and he basically said he was done.

I really thought he would have gotten drafted in the pros.

Hip injury must have done him in...

The hip injury, along with him having it occur to end his Senior season, plus playing in that abortion of an offense Scot Loeffler put on the field... Seems like it really killed his career.

He wrote an article for SBNation about a week ago or so. I thought it was old news that he was done.

Might have to go to some StJ games this fall.

Hate that it didn't work out for him. Just 10 years ago he would have been a star at TE IMO

He's been done for awhile. Hip injury kept him from doing anything.

Hes a part time assistant not a main coach. His main job is at a bank I think or some accounting place.

Eta: I hope the coaching thing takes off for him. I want him to come back to au at some point

One of the worst things about 2012 was that Lutzenkirchen and Emory Blake had to play in an offense that literally could not get them the ball.

Horrible way to go out.

Great player at Auburn. Too bad things didn't work out for him playing.

I hope he has a long and fulfilling career coaching or doing something outside the game. Hopefully he paid attention in class at AU and knows how to do something else.

yep, I really wanted him to end up at New England with the shite storm that surrounded Hernandez leaving. He could have been a great addition to that club.

The guy seems like a genuinely good guy so i will wish him well in everything he does.

He really fricked Lutz over. What a terrible coach. May be the worst OC ever.

With chizik at the helm we wouldn't have. Scott set his career back a decade under chizik. He wasn't ready for a major program and chizik gave him the plays to run after the Clemson game. Not saying Scott is great but 2012 wasn't his offense.

STJ (4a) has one of the worse sports programs in the state... They have great facilities, Jimmy Perry is the coach, they recruit, but they have never won. Trinity (3a) and Montgomery Academy (2a) are much better programs.

Unless you have a connection to the school, not worth the time to watch them play.
