Credit to TideSaint for posting this on Bama board

quote:

Nick Saban, speaking on the SEC coaches teleconference, on the arrival of QB Jacob Coker: "We’re talking about learning a system so that he has ... a better chance of going out and feeling comfortable and playing with confidence and developing the physical skills to implement the things that we want to do, which probably aren’t as different as people would like to make them from what he has done. But it’s just the idea of terminology and understanding and feeling comfortable in the system that we have. The learning curve is going to be steep, but he’s a bright young guy. He has experience and knowledge in a similar system. We’re hoping we can make it a smooth transition for him."

Jacob Coker will be the starter at QB for Alabama

That quote, while very calculated, is a Saban classic basically saying "We are gonna make it easy as we can for him, and he is our starter"

I still see plenty of doubt, but doesn't bother me either way.

That quote doesn't even hint at him being the starter.

I could play QB for Bama and still win 10 games with our ground game and defense. These 8-4 predictions are ruhtarded.
