1) ACC proposal passes
2) 3 permanent, 5 rotated teams
3) STOP the Bitch talk.
4) prepare for war on voting who goes to the title game
5) part 4 is the fun part of college football

Dislike. It would feel weird not playing uf,ut,vandy,sc, and kentucky every year.

I agree that the conference needs to do SOMETHING. But I'm not sure this is the answer.

I'm not to fond of it in Basketball so I would probably hate it in football.

*And yep the conference needs to do Something

Add two more teams.

16 teams total with 4 divisions. Top 2 division champs meet for the conference championship.

I don't like it, but it'd allow us to play everyone in an athlete's career. No idea who MSU's third rivalry would be. Probably Bama, just to spite LSU.

this. the SEC grew to prominence because of good football and rabid fans but also because we weren't devisive (like the big 12 or southwest conference). it seems that the conference unity that was so instrumental is eroding due to selfish interests taking higher precedent. I am no oracle but this and the rarity of cross divisional games doesn't bode well for the long term.

Go to 9 games, with no permanent opponent. That way you play every team from the other division every two years.
Auburn/Georgia and Tenn/Bama still keep the rivalry going every other year.

Having 4 permanent opponents may be better option for the SEC, 4 rotating.

Example:
Bama-
Auburn
Tennessee
LSU
Ole Miss

Arkansas
LSU
aTm
Mizzou
Kentucky

Auburn
Bama
UGA
Florida
Ms. State

LSU
Bama
Arkansas
aTm
Florida

aggy-
LSU
Arkansas
Mizzou
Ole Miss

UGA
Florida
Auburn
Carolina
Vandy

Tennessee
Bama
Vandy
Florida
Kentucky

Ole Miss
Ms. State
Vandy
Bama
aTm

Vandy
Kentucky
Tennessee
Ole Miss
UGA

Etc.

All the "rivalries" preserved, all opponents faced during a players career.

Nope. Two games against the desperately poor mouth breathers from the west is already enough.

This actually makes sense as a good compromise. Unfortunately, most schools in the SEC are afraid to play 9 Conf games.

Funny that LSU and their fans cry about Bama's scheduling but Saban has been the lone voice for going to 9 Conf games.

I'm sure Saban is real worried about playing the west + Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vandy when the first 9 game schedule came out.
