I live in the Yellowhammer State, and it has always seemed like the northern part of the state has been loyal to the Crimson Tide. According to this map, however, Auburn fans have recently overrun it (or just stuffed the website's ballot box? ):

They didn't know about those "fans" until Auburn started winning.

They were Tennessee fans until 2007

Important: this map is highly inaccurate
Good job.

No one ever has actually liked Alabama. It is a contract tied to EBT cards.

This actually is much more true than Auburn fans on here want to admit

North Alabama is Crimson Tide Country. There are a decent amount of AU fans due to the Arsenal in Huntsville but its still split about 60/40 Bama.

North Alabama has been pretty evenly split for a while. At least Hunstville. I think it's mostly due to the Arsenal needing so many engineers.

I lived in this state my whole life. Even during the shula years, Bama fans still wore their gear, had the flags flying proudly on the cars and attended the games.

I have to...lots more wore it after that era and plenty stopped during that time.
If we want to go anecdotal about it.

Science and engineering brings people from all over the country to work in Huntsville.
North Alabama has long seen a multi-fandom as a region. Proximity to Tennessee, as well as being in a state with Alabama and Auburn.
The state as a whole is probably 65-70% pro-Alabama.

So you are saying the Auburn fans are the smart ones...I agree.

NA is historically Bama territory, however your map is showing territories, much of alabama is not very populated, so a slight numbers change could change the color of the area relativity quickly
