F most of y'all... 6 other replies to an athlete dying saving his girl. As a former bama swimmer I'm disgusted by most of you. You slob knob over tinker yet ignore my boy. Guess what saving a girl and dying is way more respectable than living and playing for the fricking jaguars. Eat a dick "fan" base.

Dude, first off it's horrible what happened and sorry for your loss.

Attacking us is pretty ridiculous though. I'll just leave it at that. Again, sorry for your loss.

I believe most are still processing everything, and many are still dealing with severe weather even now. Obviously, it's a tragedy. Let's literally make it thru the storm before we start pointing fingers for lack of grief..

I didn't slob over Tinker either.

But if you want people to pretend they actually follow or know anything about UA swimming , I don't know what to tell you. What the kid did was great, but not because he's a swimmer. I feel for the kid's family the same way I would any student. Better yet, any young person.

But if a young person played inter mural cricket at the rec center, it'd get the same amount of attention because it has roughly the same interest level at Alabama and that's just truth

In short, him swimming doesn't make his death more or less important. And really long snapping doesn't either for my taste. And if he was a running back it shouldn't either.... but we know how that is. Fans gonna fan.

I posted on another site for him. I saw that first, it got my response. From there, I prefer not to think about it or worry about it so as to avoid getting sad. Same policy have with ignoring the news most days. As I said elsewhere, he died a hero and should be celebrated as such. Prayers sent to his family and loved ones.

frick you. I didn't "slob knob over Tinker" either. Just because we don't make a post, it doesn't mean we don't feel bad for the family and others that were affected.

So this is your way of honoring him? I'm better off not posting at all instead of contributing to this memorial.

I don't know either one of them, so I never posted anything about either. It's sad, yes, but it didn't personally affect me. Sorry.

frick off. Most of us don't have time to sit and post on a message board any time we want to. With that in mind, it doesn't mean only 6 people care about it.

It's not a tragedy because he was UA athlete, it's a tragedy because he was just a 21 year old kid trying to save somebody else who died way too young. That said I don't think posting on a message board is the way to honor him or anybody else, but to each their own.

The guy is a hero, plain and simple! I hope the swim team or athletic department comes up with some sort of yearly award or trophy with his name on it.

A scholarship in his name would be nice.

Yeah, I don't believe you. If you truley were a friend of his you could've worded this differently. And what the frick does Carson have to do with any of this? Just becase people didn't post on the thread doesn't mean they don't care.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. However, don't come running to a message board bitching about not seeing enough support.
