Posted on OB but thought I'd ask here as well. Building a new house and about to start with landscaping. First time I've ever built a lawn from scratch.

I live in NWA and covenant require bermuda lawn. What are some good type of bermuda for that region. I'd prefer something I can mow short.

Also, is seeding a viable option or would it take forever for the grass to fill in? If I do go with sod, what can I do to make my yard completely flat? I've seen other yards in my neighborhood and wan't impressed with how bumpy and uneven their sd was laid.

There's a product called hydrolawn that some company does out here. They literally spray the seed in this weird arse foamy shite that basically dries into a shell on the ground and absorbs the water until it sprouts. Then it becomes food.

In the meantime, the birds don't eat the seed and everything is okay waiting for it to sprout up.

It worked well for us here, but we're out in the desert. Maybe you have it there, check it out.

If you don't want to do sod I would use sprigs. Lot quicker than seeds.

The higher you go in quality, the lower you can mow it. Riviera and Yukon would be better in NWA because they have better cold hardiness.

Make sure they roll the lawn with the giant roller it makes a world of difference and sod companies up here are cheap lazy fricks and will try to sneak off without doing it.
