Replace the spring game with an exhibition game against a cupcake team. Eliminating said cupcake team from the regular season schedule and reducing the overall amount of games by 1. Charge admission and give the cupcake team the money.
Interesting Idea

Its a good idea but many coaches will be against it because of the risk of injury and taking a loss if they look like absolute shite.

So you're going to play a game with up to 1/4 of each roster gone?

Arkansas would find a way to lose

Butt chugging is actually a no lose scenario.

All of this. Coaches don't want to play a game, if they don't get anything out of it, too much at risk in an uncontrolled environment.

I hope that link was intentional. If so, it might be the best troll job I've seen. Very subtle, interesting link bait then BAM! LOL UT BUTTCHUGS!

Their 'proof' that there was no butt chuggin going on is that they aren't gay.
Totally clears it up.

If the plug don't fit, you must acquit.

Not sure why he thinks it needs revamping, or how this is a good thing. What problem is he trying to solve by this?

Just click the link. That's the point of the thread.
However, a similar idea was raised by the vilified Clay Travis. His points were basically that it would be better practice because hitting teammates is way different than hitting another team. It would let teams get a more realistic opposition. For instance, in Auburn's spring game, you know the defensive players know the offenses signals on some level. Even if you aren't trying to steal them, you're going to react different if you hear the signal and have some idea what it means. I like the idea of playing teams like Chattanooga for a spring game instead of in the real season. Small teams could also try to coincide them with spring breaks to travel to nice locations for their players.
