Why would you waste your time to jump in a thread and post then? Seems pointless.

Gonna be a fun weekend. A buddy of mine has a stake in Danza so he's going to the derby. He said there were 160,000 people there last year.

I wonder between the two how many people will be at each one. They are like polar opposites as far as attire

Who are the favorites at Talladega?

I don't really know enough about it to tell you. Whoever is good at the really long tracks and avoids that inevitable monster crash.
Here is one mans opinion
Pretty much says to watch the usual Gordon, dale, Johnson, keslowski, etc

Easy answer is to look at who ran well in the most recent Daytona 500, since that's the most recent restrictor plate track.
Dale Jr.'s always been solid at 'Dega, as has Jeff Gordon (Jr. won the 500).
Lot of guys will be pushing for their first win, as well. Restrictor plate tracks have a way of being finnicky--being in the right place, with the right drafting buddy, at the right time, is even more important than just having a strong car. As such, these races at Daytona and Talladega lend themselves to surprise winners moreso than NASCAR's standard fare.
Should be a good one. Always look forward to the Dega races.

Going to a party/cookout on Saturday in my hometown for the Derby and then driving up to Talladega on Sunday with the GF to meet up with about 20 Auburn folks. Should be a good time. Also worth noting that my hometown is fifteen minutes from Talladega.

I will be fishing about 10 miles from Talladega. A couple of years ago the fly-over came right over us on their way to 'Dega. It was pretty neat.
