I was wondering everyones opinion on the proposed changes to the SEC Schedule. I'm not a big fan of playing LSU every year. I would rather play a rotational cross divisional game. Even Spurrier commented on how bad our schedule is this year with BAMA, LSU, GA, USC, FSU just to name a few.

It would be nice to rotate more, but considering UF's abysmal record against schools from Mississippi, I'm glad we won't have to play them much anymore.

I do miss the Auburn game.

But things are cyclical. At the beginning of 2001, we all would have laughed with the idea that LSU was a tough game. UF routinely destroyed them.

Tennessee beat Alabama for like 8 or 9 straight years in mid 90's early 2000s.

I think this debate is getting tired. In CFB, some schedules are just innately harder. There is now a playoff to help mitigate some of that, but ultimately, you just have to beat the team in front of you.

I don't mind playing LSU every year, we actually have a better record vs them than Auburn but the 8 game schedule with one permanent limits the number of times in a decade that you will play other teams in the other division. I enjoy going to BR but also love going to, Oxford, TTown, Fayetteville, Starkville, Auburn and would like to see a game in College Station. This schedule was just a bailout by the Commish to keep Bama happy. Sad but true.

Ultimately, the 8 game schedule is slightly easier for Florida though, on the average.

Always enjoy watching games like this. I like playing Auburn every year as well. I like the 8 game schedule as long as our team schedules 2 BCS opponents and only 1 FCS team. Obviously the schedule favors some more than others but that also goes in cycles. I pretty much like the status quo.

Remember that we have the yearly neutral site in Jax every year and that prevents us from doing too much schedule wise because UF needs the $$$$ to oil the machines.

We really need 7 home games to make things hum for us.
