For those who don't know what a PDS watch is:

PDS watches are quite uncommon; less than 3% of watches issued by the SPC from 1996 to 2005 were PDS watches, or an average of 24 each year.[2] When a PDS watch is issued, there are often more PDS watches issued for the same weather system, even on the same day during major outbreaks, so the number of days per year that a PDS watch is issued is significantly lower.

PDS tornado watches are issued when there is a higher than normal risk of multiple strong to violent tornadoes – especially those that are predicted to be long-track in nature, with path lengths of more than 20 miles – in the watch area (usually amounting to damage consistent with EF4 or EF5 tornadoes), in addition to including significant wind and hail damage. While there are no set criteria for a PDS watch to be issued, they are usually issued when the potential exists for a major tornado outbreak. These types of tornado watches represent about 90% of PDS watches issued by the Storm Prediction Center.[2]

It's definitely starting to have that pre storm weird feel around here in central Arkansas. The wind has does to zero, the humidity is through the roof, and there's a gray calm out.

This board has seen its fair share of tornadoes and extreme weather over the years. Everyone stay safe as this heads east.

I checked to make sure the back up genny has fuel and will start, prepped the safe room for a comfortable stay if needed.

Same here just north of Rogers. Unfortunately the sun is going to heat up the air and cause storms to build up.

It should all stay south of NWA.

Right now there is super cell with rotation tracking from Danville up towards Russellville, Tusk is in the direct path of this storm.

Storms are popping up in east Oklahoma now. I think Washington County is still in play with all of this.

Anyone know a good storm chasing website to follow on my iPad?

shite must be gettin real, Garrett gots his sleeves rolled up.

Talking about rotation hitting Fort Coffee, OK, if that was to happen, it would rain meth in as the storm passed.

Its humorous how he is keeping tabs on every bit of rotation from the radar after missing the tornado a couple weeks back that went through...

Holy frickshit! I don't know what's happening in Arky but I'm in E. TN and a wind gust just came out of nowhere and knocked over shite in the house through a partially open window. The smell of the air has changed, thunder and rain now.

I know I warned earlier things can change in a hurry this time of year but damn I didn't realize I should be on watch for this stuff too.

EVERYONE PLEASE BE SAFE! We're far less susceptible to stuff like this than other places in the South East and all hell is starting to break loose here.
