He stated he could do it and I tend to think he probably could. What say you. LINK

Can he hold on to the ball and run at least a 4.6?

If yes then I think the Falcons are in need of someone to re-instill the toughness factor

The guy is in phenomenal shape for someone of his age, but folks that old just don't bounce back from the inevitable injuries (even minor) that would follow.

Could he make a team? Probably. Would he last a whole season? Ennnnnhhhhh....

He most certainly would not last the entire year being the feature back, but if you use him as a third down and specialty package he probably could.

The team that picked him up would be the most watched in the NFL....at least for one season.

I agree and he even stated that in the article. I do not think he could be an every down back but for short yardage I could see it.

Which one of his personalities would suit up? I think the one that got pounded in the USFL and the Cowboys and Vikings. I love Herschel, and he's a beast of a physical specimen, but a 52 year-old body wouldn't last a day in the NFL at RB. Maybe kicker, punter, or holder. Not RB.

He has a son who I believe is approaching age 18.
