I question that map. I live in Richmond and know way more Braves and Nats fans and hardly any Yankees fans, but maybe it's the company I keep.

Dude, please...everyone knows that the Cardinals are the SEC's favorite team.
Plus, we're the best fans in baseball. Braves fans are the worst fans in baseball. I mean, y'all trash your field to thank Chipper for his time with the team.

Considering more than half the states in the SEC don't have MLB teams, its not surprising that these states follow a team that has been nationally syndicated on TBS.

I don't think La. has a lot of MLB fans. We've never had a team. The Yankees are kinda like Notre Dame in college football. Plus, some Louisianians have been big Yankee players, esp Ron Guidry, a much beloved player out of Lafayette. So I would say the fans from La. are probably pretty well spread out as to their loyalties with the Yankees getting the nod as first. Many are like me, they follow the players (LSU or La in general) and not the teams.

germans, and yes we have a lot of baby back yankee fans here. it is a disgusting thing and one of the few negatives about LA

Go Braves. I too was shocked that the Braves were not the favorite team of western NC and southern VA. Lot's of transplants in the Triangle area though.

Terrebonne Parish holding down a little Braves love. More than most of LA. Makes sense given my family's preferences.
