No.
I'd be more "worried" about a Texas school, like Tech.
And I'm not worried about them at all.

Anything CAN happen in recruiting of course but this one would be beyond a major shock. Essentially the logic is that Kyle Allen will win the starting job and block Kyler for years. Truthfully though, if Kyle Allen wins the job as a True Fish he is almost certainly gone after 3 which means 2 years for Kyler. The plan has generally been that Kyler could really use a RS as well since he is young (will graduate at 17) and has a small frame that could use some bulking.

More than that though, I just can't see Kevin Murray's son that has grown up his entire life an Aggie fan deciding to go up to Eugene. It could happen of course but it sounds like an Oregon guy that knows about half the facts and looked at the A&M roster and said, "Kyler is coming to Oregon because Mariota will be done after this season and Kyler could start as a True Freshman".

Kyler can compete for the starting job at Oregon next year. He is a perfect fit in their offense as-well (not to say he isn't a perfect fit at A&M as-well)

Why would he want to go to A&M and sit for 2-3 years when he could start immediately at Oregon?

Tech already has a better QB committed

Tech has a great QB committed. He's not better than Kyler though.

One of the reasons why I said a Texas school, "like Tech."
He's an Aggie--to the soul.
But he'll give others a glance.
Lord knows I would, were I in his situation.

Wouldn't be surprised if the biggest reason is actually do the probability of A&M having a true freshman starting at QB. Don't blame the guy if he wants to look elsewhere.

If having the best chance to start as a True Fish is his main driver then Oregon is a better fit. There just hasn't been much to indicate that it is. Kyler is young and small so a year to RS would be very helpful to him. He also has a Dad that is one of the best QB coaches in the country that understands that and has stated as much before.

Didnt know he was so young

Maybe a RS year and another year sitting would be good for him

I'm sure COBRA is selling him on the offensive line recruits y'all are leading for and reeling in. Not to mention the WRs

All Oregon can really offer is playing time

Yeah, I was kind of shocked to see the Oregon hype picking up. Some family friends played youth ball with Kyler and Kevin still talks with them as well and always talks about ATM for kyler. In fact, when we went to the UF/ATM gm yr before we talked to Kevin for 30 minutes or so and all he could say was how he was ready to get kyler to CS. Anyways, was just a little shocked to start seeing Oregon buzz pop up everywhere.

Meh, I think if he would spurn the Aggies, he wouldn't stay close to home. Would you? Lol
I have no info and could not care less, but if an Aggie to the souls passes to go elsewhere, my opinion is it would be far away in a high powered offense with national exposure, a starting spot, and a Nike owning booster. :)

It's a big Republic.
And he's a Texan.
If he didn't land in College Station (he will), he'd stick to The Great State.
"Spurning" the Aggies would mean more in Fort Worth, Austin, or Lubbock than it would in Eugene.
Again, silly and moot points.

But I don't blame Oregon and its fans for manufacturing some buzz.
