House Bill 60, or the Safe Carry Protection Act of 2014 -- which opponents have nicknamed the "guns everywhere bill" -- specifies where Georgia residents can carry weapons. Included are provisions that allow residents who have concealed carry permits to take guns into some bars, churches, school zones, government buildings and certain parts of airports.

I don't think guns belong in a bar.

Don't you know, guns make everything safer. Even rooms full of intoxicated people.

I think it would still be illegal to be drinking while conceal carrying

If the bar owner has a no weapons policy, this law won't change that policy.

I'm trying to prevent you from making the long hike up to the top of Moot Point in this thread, because I love you.

Moving to the USA so I can get pissed and have a gun in the bar.

Is it one shot in the air or two for a refill?

No need to be short, just pointing out that it would still be just as illegal as it is today for intoxicated people to carry.

I have no problems with guns. My husband has a full 48 gun safe. It's stupid to allow them in bars.

As I said, before you make the hike up to Moot Point:

IF THE BAR OWNER, HAS A NO WEAPONS POLICY, THIS LAW DOESN'T ALLOW PEOPLE TO DISREGARD THAT POLICY.

DAMNIT WOMAN, pay attention.
