Seems like opposing schools are starting to use a little negative recruiting on Texas A&M. The recent arrest problems, and the horrible defense could result in some bad news in Aggie Land.

?@DaylonMack I'd rather play on a stacked team that wins than being a star on a team that loses #AllAboutThatWinningBoss #NonSelfish

Mack may visit Texas

We’d be lying if we said the recent Aggie Football arrests are not affecting recruiting. Truthfully, there are families concerned about the discipline issues that have occurred this spring and those incidents have also allowed competing schools to use that against A&M when recruiting players like 5-star DT Daylon Mack.

This explains some of the recent Tweets from the Gladewater defender.

We’re not alluding to a decommitment from the All-American but it’s worth noting that the month of May is always a time in the recruiting cycle where you see kids second guess their commitment at times. That’s because colleges are doing their due diligence during the spring recruiting period and prospects that enjoy the process tend to get excited about all the attention again.

The Texas staff has reached out to the Mack family and want him to visit soon. This is something that Daylon may entertain over the next few months so we wanted to give you all the heads up so it doesn’t catch anyone off guard if he does make it down to Austin.

Many people close to Daylon’s recruitment, including family members, feel like A&M will still be his ultimate destination. However, it’s safe to say that Mack will be evaluating the Aggie defense closely next season, and depending on how things go, could affect where things stand in a positive or negative way.

He is just being honest.

Here in the state of Texas we get so into early recruiting that it seems most of the work is done a year out. In many cases if you are a recruit that hasn't committed the season before you sign you might find the major local programs are out of spots for you.

Mack does not have that problem, every team in the state would pull a scholly last minute for him if he wanted to join up. So he is using that leverage to make sure his final decision is the best one possible.

Good for him I say, even if it sucks for me personally as an Aggie twisting in the wind for a year.

I spoke with the Rivals100 DT and he is still committed to Texas A&M. However, he says he is "looking at a couple of things right now." One of his good friends, RB Rodney Anderson, de-committed from Texas A&M last night. Auburn is still pursuing Mack and the interest is there.

If the kid thinks winning is the most important thing, he would definitely be wise to go somewhere other than A&M

Auburn had 1 bad year. A&M hasn't won a conference championship during the entire 21st century and hasn't won a legit national championship ever. Seems kind of odd that a kid that cares about winning over everything else would commit to them

you act like Auburn is some frickin power house. If it wasn't for out right luck last year Auburn would have been 8-5.

Well, that is just a completely untrue and hypothetical statement.
