Which do you like better? Which do you prefer for your vacation?

Love both, and do a week at each every summer, but I prefer the mountains. By the 4th or 5th day at the beach, I'm kind of beached out.

Winter- beach
Less crowded, still good fishing, nice afternoon temperatures
Summer- mountains
Same as above except replace fishing with beautiful views/hiking. Only hike in high elevation; less trees, colder, etc.

Depends on the season. I can make a great vacation at both and in the same year. I won't choose one over the other.

As someone else said, depensd on which beach and which mountains. Staying in the southeast I would much rather go to the gulf coast or even places like the GA/SC coast than going to the mountains. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Smokies and such, but if you made me choose between going there or to oen of the southern beaches I would say beach 95% of the time.

Now if I could make mountains be the ones i have seen in Colorado/Wyoming/Montana, then I would probably choose mountains a higher precentage.

Beach. Mountains make me feel claustrophobic.

WHEW! This is a tough un. My Scottish for bearers settled in western NC in the 1750s and my great great great GF then migrated to the N Ga mountains in 1848. Feel like I have mountains in the blood and just get a sense of being home when I am there. But I love the beach so much.....screw you man.

Mountains.

I only say that because my last 5 vacations have been to the beach. I have only been to the mountains once and that was in Gatlinburg. I would like to go to Colorado to the Rockies.

I highly recommend it. Fair warning tho: the smokies will seem like shitty molehills once you do.
