Source: There has been zero contact in either direction between Missouri and UTEP's Tim Floyd. Not a candidate for job.

I totally forgot about him after the OJ Mayo issues at USC.

Yea but Floyd has already proven himself a very good coach that doesn't need NBA transfers to win.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN
Trust me when I say that if Missouri hires Tim Floyd -- and its still not close yet -- it would scare a LOT of the coaches in the SEC.

It did lead to us getting Bruce Pearl

He'd make it rain on some recruits and get good talent.

Auburn was the only school to hire a UTEP coach and have him fail at their school.

Sounds like a program problem, not UTEP's program.

I had posted Tim Floyd on my short list for Missouri when Haith left.

Would be a good hire.

We could do worse.
I'm guessing we're dancing with Marshall a bit, he'll eventually say "no" (within the next 24 hours) and we'll move on to other options.

Floyd would be an ok hire in my book. He might end up being better for us than Greg Marshall.

Good coach but if we're going for a coach with baggage I'd take Howland over Floyd.

Not me, I think Floyd is a great x's and o's guy. Him and Anderson would be the ultimate clash of style

Floyd is wayyyy better than Haith. So, you win

I had wanted Floyd before I knew Anderson was a possibility

Floyd wins man. Every stop, he wins. Heck, he won at Idaho. He had New Orleans playing dang good ball in the late 80's early 90's.
