It's sounded like he's basically been an AU commit for a couple weeks now.

He's even said he's been recruiting for us and trying to build a "Seahawks like" defense.

ETA: Committed to Auburn today.

Grew up a UGA fan.
The wallpaper in his room is UGA.

You asked me a question, so I gave you an answer. Im pretty sure that makes you a little less comfortable about how much of a lock he is to AU. Does it not?

A Bama fan nailed it on the 2nd post. Kudos.

I already knew that (besides the wallpaper thing) doesn't mean shite.

A little. But fandom doesn't mean as much as most think. Look at Roc and Rashaan for example

We can all show you the video Justin Hokanson, an Auburn writer, has of Rashaan sprinting on the field cheering like a kid on christmas when AU beat Bama.

Colbert is recruiting for AU, pushing his cousin a GA commit to think about AU and openly talks about potentially committing. UGA is at best behind in this

Just wondering, what's the difference if some UGA fans have confidence in a prospect that is not committed to anyone at the moment. This time last year Dontavius Russell was about as solid as a commitment for UGA as you could be; one month later he visits AU in May and things begin to turn around for him.

It's April bro; let it play out. Recruiting is too much of a crap shoot these days for anyone to feel real comfortable about any of these kids. (Committed or not)

Owens is about as solid a commit as we have ( he openly and actively recruits COlbert to UGA) but the ace in the hole may be the fact that UGA will hire the old Griffin HS coach as an analyst. The Griffin players have been rooting really hard for this to happen, including Colbert.

This doesn't mean shite. I was freaking out when Auburn beat Bama. It was one of those transcendent moments in sport when (unless you were a Bama fan) you lost your damn mind over what had just happened no matter what your allegiance. If I was a recruit (even a Bama commit) I would have enjoyed the frick out of that experience no matter where I had decided to go.

He told a UGA recruiting writer in like December that if UGA offered, he would most likely commit. We waited too long for that, but this one isn't over and won't be even if he commits to y'all. Like someone mentioned earlier with Russell, his dream his whole life has been to play at UGA.

You seem to like this phrase. Obviously it's never over until they sign the NLI but i see nothing about his recruitment that UGA should be confident about right now.

I'm not particularly confident, but I like that phrase because its usually true in recruiting at this stage. I just explained where the UGA confidence comes from. That's why Rusty Mansell predicted him to Georgia.

I wouldn't call it confidence but it's definitely looking up for him and our odds got better.

Well obviously your odds always get better when you actually offer him.

You answered your own question. Plus, what's already been said in here about hiring his coach and offering 3 of his teammates.

I wouldn't say things are looking up though. Have y'all seen his comments after his AU visit? He's about the most committed non-commit I've ever seen. He was essentially talking like he was already committed.
