Auburn.

UGA is bumblefricking around with OL recruiting this year. Losing Chuma tonight to USCw and will lose Kim at some point (Bailey Sharp IDGAF about). We'll need to steal Minshew away from FSU and start trending upward by picking up guys like Mike Horton. Chuma will be a battle until the end and we need to win it. We haven't had a dominant left tackle since Trinton Sturdivant was a freshman back in 2007 (Cordy Glenn was serviceable but wasn't stellar by any means). If we land Ben Cleveland next year as many expect, we need to already have some top caliber lineman playing opposite or behind Theus to get ready for the future.

Auburn. He's planning on rooming with Bailey Sharp, the other GA OL that committed this past weekend

Auburn, we haven't been recruiting Kim for a while. I personally have no problem with this, we only have 4-5 spots and Kim was nowhere near that high on the board IMO. I care much more about whiffing on Sharp, even though we really had no chance there.

Tyler, Chuma is really the only miss so far. Bailey is an AU legacy, Hyatt is Clemson legacy, Warmack is basically a Bama legacy. We aren't doing that poorly, especially once we flip Minshew.

BTW, you meant to say that, other than Theus we have not lined up an actual LT since Trinton Sturdivant at all. Forget dominant. Cordy was a LG playing LT. I like Hardin though, he is a good prospect. We have two really promising OTs in the last class too.

Theus is hot garbage, he’d be a questionable starter on most teams. He is more worried about his perception (being the cool guy on campus) instead of working on his craft. He’s a ginger douche.

Cordy gave up only 1.5 sacks all season at LEFT TACKLE in the NFL. He was considered by many experts, one of the top LT in the league. Just because UGA’s OL coach didn’t utilize him properly doesn’t diminish what he accomplished at UGA

He had a bad year last year for sure, but we need to remember that he was only a true sophomore. It's not time to give up on him. Theus apparently was good this spring. He, Andrews, and Pyke are the OL that I'm the least worried about.

if there's been one weakness of the mark richt era, it's been OL play... probably kept him from winning another SEC championship and/or national championship.

Definitely, but I'm not as convinced that it's a recruiting issue as others are. We sign a bunch of players that all our peers are after. Just seems like our hit rate is pretty low.

Sure... it's as much a development issue as anything.

we gon' fight ya for him!!!!

Haha. He's our #1 tackle prospect for next season. If Shon Coleman shows out this year he could be gone and it would look good for tackle recruiting for us to put 2 tackles into the league in 2 years. That being said, I want Shon's arse to stay at AU, he's a monster.

Wouldn't expect you to not fight for him. Many consider him a lock but you never know. Hell of a prospect. If he does end up at Georgia it would be nice.

I was under the assumption that he was a pretty high priority. You're one of the worst UGA posters here, so anyone else want to back him up on this?

Well, you're wrong, as usual. We haven't been in contact with him in a while. He was a high priority, then our coaches evaluated him and now he is not a high priority.

And coming from one of the 5 worst posters in probably the worst fanbase on the Rant, I'll take that remark as a compliment.
